M 12 Coaxial Loudspeaker
The system shall consist of a passive 2-way coaxial enclosure driven and protected by a dedicated amplified controller.
The enclosure shall feature a 3" high frequency transducer coaxially mounted onto a 12" low frequency transducer in a bass-reflex tuned enclosure. The high frequency transducer shall feature an ellipsoidal waveguide. The long term RMS handling capacity shall be 380 W at the nominal 8 Ω impedance.
The usable system bandwidth shall be 50 Hz to 18 kHz (-10 dB). The system shall generate an H×V directivity of 60° × 90° (-6 dB). Maximum SPL shall be 127 dB (peak level measured at 1 m under free field conditions using pink noise with crest factor 4).
Enclosure cabinet shall be made of first grade Baltic beech and birch plywood. The front of the enclosure shall be protected by a steel grill with anti-corrosion coating covered with acoustically neutral fabric. Dimensions shall be 540 mm height, 410 mm width and 289 mm depth. Enclosure weight shall be 22.5 kg.
The enclosure shall feature handles on both sides with integrated 35 mm (1.38") pole-mount sockets. The enclosure shall feature risers to change the monitor angle from 35° to 55°. Four M10 threaded inserts shall be available for rigging the enclosure with an optional U-bracket or rigging bar. An additional DIN580-compatible M8 insert shall be used to implement a safety. The enclosure shall be connected via two 4-point speakON connectors.
